I half-heartedly put the Cougar on Craigslist when I decided I wanted a different toy. Someone contacted me, and I took it off CL. Not ready to part with it yet.

Good you shouldn’t. I just have it up cause I have no garage, the last 3 years it has been in storage, and I want to move and the money would be welcome. But really i want her to move with me.

I can’t agree more with you. I love the stupid little thing that has been plaguing me. The Healey is just the better of the Sprigets. Like the BRZ is better than the FRS/GT86.
You should really get one. They are super easy to work on and parts are so stupidly avaliable you could build one without ever buying an original part. I made the mistake of getting to far into it at first otherwise it would have been finished years ago. I kick myself all the time for that.

I an 6'2" and 250 lbs. I was over the windshield with the original seats. But I got those cheap Chinese bucket seats that sit basically on the floor and a roll bar that fits under the top so I am protected and well below the windshield now.

Do you have the requisite floppy old man hat? That might be your problem.

Have to keep it! I just started your journey. I brought home a $500 74 Midget a couple weeks ago. It’s my first project car in years. I’m stupidly excited.

Hmm... Maybe try switching to drinking Guinness? You have to channel the proper amount of British with these kinds of cars or they just don’t work. Get some metallic octagonal club badges on your grill as well. I’ve never seen a running British car without them.

Shit! You’re right. I don’t have any club badges... Can I drink Boddingtons? I prefer that over Guinness

Maybe down the road, but at this point there’s not too much to say. Its relatively rust free, with a mediocre repaint at some point. Oh! And a “stuck engine”. I’m looking forward to getting into it.
